Paintings by Dorothy Crawley
Dorothy Crawley's vibrant landscapes and still lifes explore the visual poetry of a wide range of subjects, from the intimate and familiar to the dramatic and exotic. Born in Brunswick, Georgia, Crawley -- like her father and grandfather -- has drawn and painted all her life. After graduating from the University of Georgia in Athens, she married, moved to Atlanta, and raised a family. When her three children were grown, Crawley took up painting seriously again, working first in watercolors and then in oils. She has participated in several group shows and received a number of awards, including first place at the Piedmont Driving Club Spring Art Show.
